Amazing Experience
I never had the chance to express my gratitude for the opportunity to coach this past year. It was a great experience, and I hope to be involved in the ski community for many years. I know I would not be involved in skiing at all were in not for my experience as a kid at Giants Ridge MYSL, back in the day.
Thank you MyXC
This was my 8 year old son's first year skiing with MYSL. He had a great experience learning to ski with kids his age in a fun, supportive, and non-competitive environment. I recommend anyone with young kids to give MYSL a try. It could spark an interest in them for a life long love of skiing, one of the best forms of fitness and exercise out there! Thank you, MYSL; we will be back for sure!!
Great Race
That race was great....the kids loved it. Thanks for all you do.
Love Coaching
A new skier came out for a preview yesterday. Most of our normal group were unable to make it yesterday due to school activities, etc. so I was able to work one-on-one with her. With 5 year olds I usually have to spend most of the first session with basic balance and some confidence building, but not this girl. By the end of the session she was trying to go faster and faster. She would fall down and get back up within a couple seconds and be right back to skiing. She kept saying she loved skiing and yelled out that this was the best day ever. She told her mom she wanted to come back to the park and ski every day. I know it's only her first time on skis and she is only 5, but I wouldn't be surprised if she became a great skier someday.
Skiing for fun
She was very excited about the day and we ended up skiing more after the class had ended. She would have stayed even longer but I got cold(: I am so happy to have been able to sign my daughter up for this program.
Lifelong Sport
This is a tremendous opportunity to have your child learn and enjoy this lifelong sport in a supportive
environment at a reasonable cost.
Former Skier Check-in
My daughters are former MYSL and Silver Skiers and are now High School Nordic competitors. Even though they are no longer in MYSL, we have really enjoyed reading Jessie's blogs. Learning about the other countries and their culture has been fun as well as the tips on training for skiing.
